8th & Atlas is an international independent publishing house. We are currently seeking fiction novels, memoirs, nonfiction/long-form journalism, YA, hybrid works, essay/short story collections, and graphic novels of exceptional literary merit that demonstrate a high level of creativity and originality.

Author Bio: Briefly describe your background as a writer. List any publication credits, if applicable, or anything you'd like to share about your talents.

A Synopsis: No more than one page to summarize the work.
​
The Work: Please submit an unpublished manuscript or sample (at least 30 pages for full-length works). At this time, we are not able to accept works that total fewer than ~40,000 words. We apologize for the inconvenience.
​
Response Time: You can expect a confirmation by the end of the month you've submitted during. A follow-up email with a decision should be expected within 3–6 months, depending on the length of the submission.
​
What to Submit: Please email us the manuscript attached as a separate file (PDF, Word, etc.), with the name of the submission, genre, and word count in the body of the email. You're encouraged to submit any additional information, such as the target audience or comparable books, but it's not required.

SUBMISSION
PERIODs
We have two submission periods, one in the spring and one in autumn, during which we welcome writers to submit their manuscripts to us. During the months of March and September, please send your work, following the instructions provided below.
This schedule helps us give proper attention and consideration to the works we receive. If you miss the last day of the month, please wait until the next submission period to submit your work to us. Any submission received outside of the submission periods will not be considered. Thanks for your cooperation!

Update for Writers who submitted works in 2023.
If you submitted a manuscript to us in 2023 and still have not heard from us, it's because we have not been able to make up our minds. Now we will continue to contemplate and combine the September submissions with the remaining 2023 works to narrow down the finalists. We truly appreciate your patience and hope all understand that we are operating on a limited capacity and want to make sure each piece gets a fair consideration.
If you have any doubts, or maybe you never heard from us at all (meaning we missed your correspondence, apologies for that if the case!), please reel off an email with your thoughts.
